BAMA Gruppen AS, Oslo
BAMA Gruppen, Norway’s largest private distributor of fresh fruits, vegetables, berries, and potatoes, serves approximately 70% of the country’s market. Established in 1886 and headquartered in Oslo, the company specializes in the import and distribution of fresh produce, flowers, and ready-to-eat foods.
Working in collaboration with Oslo-based Monn Interior Architects and furniture consultants Lindbak, Icons of Denmark’s Nordic team developed a series of adaptable furniture solutions for the workplace, including banquette seating, planters, and room dividers.
A key objective of the project was to move beyond fixed, bespoke joinery in favor of flexible, modular elements capable of evolving alongside the business. The design approach prioritized adaptability, enabling spaces to be easily reconfigured as workplace needs change over time.
The BLOX System was selected across multiple areas of the interior for its modularity and versatility. Its organic forms, combined with a palette of natural materials including solid oak, linoleum, and wool upholstery, introduced warmth and softness to the workspace while supporting a highly functional and future-ready environment.
