AECOM London HQ, 2016
Icons of Denmark are proud to have been working closely with AECOM on the furniture specification and supply for their new London office in Aldgate Tower. Designed to embrace agile working, the floor layouts of the AECOM office provide multiple spaces for different work styles and preferences, as well as large breakout areas providing spaces for collaboration. Icons of Denmark collaborated with AECOM on the design of large customized modular GRID shelving solutions with bespoke writeable surfaces, along with a large number of hot desks, meeting tables and loose furniture for reception, dining and collaboration areas. The lighting had to meet stringent standards of energy, so Icons of Denmark and Made by Hand, manufacturer of the Workshop Lamp, developed a special diffuser for the iconic lamp to meet the lighting designers criteria. GRID super structure for designjunction 2016
As part of this year’s London Design Festival, Icons of Denmark partnered with designjunction and Satellite Architects in the creation of the world’s largest GRID super structure for Cubitt House, designjunction’s principle hub, consisting of over 4,000 black and white GRID cubes designed by Danish Peter J. Lassen for GRIDsystem.
C.P. Hart Waterloo, 2016
The luxury bathroom brand C.P. Hart appointed Hunters Contracts to specify, manage and deliver their impressive flagship showroom in London. As part of the project, Icons of Denmark delivered the classic ASAP arm chairs and various customized KANT tables in various finishes to be enjoyed and admired in both meeting, working and café areas.
The stunning showroom is located under the Victorian arches of the Southern railway, leading out of Waterloo station. Before it turned into C.P. Hart’s flagship showroom, the venue was a wine house, and before that – back when horsepower was still the fastest way to get across London - it provided stables for the London postal service. Entrepreneurial Spark, Edinburgh, 2016
In collaboration with furniture dealership Tsunami Axis and MLA, Icons of Denmark provided GRID tiered seating arrangements for informal presentation areas for Entrepreneurial Spark – the world’s largest free business accelerator for early stage and growing ventures.
The project got off the ground when MLA Interior’s team received a request to develop an interior scheme to be rolled out nationally as Entrepreneurial Spark’s interior brand standard. The brief was to design a relaxed open plan working environment that provided a number of practical working solutions using quirky interior finishes to create a space to inspire and support young entrepreneurs. For this purpose, the GRID tiered seating arrangements provides the ideal surroundings for creative ideas to spark and take off.
RBS World Headquarters, Edinburgh, 2016
In collaboration with Michael Laird Architects and Tsunami Axis, Icons of Denmark provided GRID structures for the Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters in Edinburgh. The RBS HQ, also known as Gogarburn, houses 3,200 bank staff members who can enjoy the amazing GRID structures both as a meeting point and an area for visitors.
The GRID structures, which can seat up to 50 people each, are designed by Michael Laird Architects and the project was managed, delivered and installed by Tsunami Axis. The RBS HQ, set in 100 acres of parkland on the outskirts of Edinburgh, was opened by the Queen in 2005 and includes leisure facilities, parking for 900 cars, an executive wing which housed Goodwin’s former office, an on-site replica of a High Street complete with a functioning RBS branch, a Tesco branch, a Starbucks, a hairdressing salon, and weekly street markets.

Scott Brownrigg created a bespoke design for NCR tailored to the company’s requirements. White frame and white top Twist tables features in the breakout and reception area. The aim was to design an environment that reflected NCR as an iconic, vibrant and agile organisation which enabled a collaborative way of working, with a new improved client experience and provide for future expansion and flexibility. The design provides a clearer brand identity for NCR, one which befits a forward thinking technology company

Euromonitor’s progressive new office in Clerkenwell, is a true mix of mid-century classics and new design features with a twist, including a gigantic slide connecting the two floor levels. Icons of Denmark supplied the newly relaunched classic from 1951, FDB J81 arm chair by Jorgen Baerkmark, together with Tempo lounge chairs, Twist coffee tables and Apoluna high back sofas. Lonely Planet, 2015
Lonely Planet is one of the world’s most successful travel publishers, printing over 120 million books in eleven different languages. They provide guidebooks and eBooks to almost every destination on the planet, have an award winning website and magazine and a range of digital travel apps. Along with Aros Architects we delivered a GRID installation, configured into the Lonely Planet Library in their new London office. Seating modules and GRID coffee tables were scattered among couches to help complete the design. Click here to see more pictures
Warner Music UK, 2015
A major refurbishment and fit out for Warner Music UK has enabled the company to consolidate its London operations from across six buildings to three—including a new HQ building in a phased construction programme.With it's broad roster of new stars and legendary artists, Warner Music is the world’s third-largest recorded music business. It is home to a collection of the best-known record labels in the music industry including Atlantic, East West, Parlophone, Rhino, Warner Bros., Warner Classics and leading music publishers Warner/Chappell Music. Icons of Denmark delivered Bamboo Rugs for reception and the classic J46 FDB Chairs for café area.
Undisclosed, City Group Tower 2015
The City Group Tower is at the very centre of Canary Wharf, where many of the tallest building in Europe are. All the offices have a unique view over London.
MCM Architecture and Design used the GRID system. The transparency of the GRID configurations allows for light and access to the incredible views from the 21st floor of Citigroup tower. For other areas, GRID system was used as wall- and ceiling suspended storage for teapoint areas and as library shelving with integrated magazine shelves.
For café, meeting rooms and breakout areas, Icons of Denmark provided Bykato high tables and customised Forum meeting tables in both Oak/Oil, Laminates and american walnut with linoleum surfaces. Cushions from FUSS was used through out the project for soft areas to create warmth and to back the domestic feel of the canteen and break out areas. See more pictures here
Hachette Publishing Group, 2015
In collaboration with Phusei Limited, Icons of Denmark delivered the Reddot award winning TAC chair designed by the Danish design duo BYKATO. Lead architects for the project was global design and architectural firm HOK. Hachette is one of the largest publishers in the UK. The company includes many well-known publishing brands who has recently united under one roof at their new London head office on Victoria Embankment.
YUM! Headquarters, 2014
John Robertson Architects have completed the fit-out and interior design of the new, 30,000 sq ft, YUM! Headquarters in Woking. Self branded as a ‘non-corporate’ global corporation, and one of the world’s largest restaurant companies, YUM!’s core values celebrate creativity and staff wellbeing – the company values and strong identity are reflected in the new designs which include: flexible work spaces, break-out areas, a new terrace, barrista and pilates studios. Icons of Denmark delivered FDB C35 Café tables, Pato meeting room chairs and Fuss cushions for all soft areas
Neoworks Office, City Tower London 2014
Neoworks is a cutting edge ecommerce company, based in London.
Together with HLW, Icons of Denmark delivered our Pump module sofa, 17 modules long and upholstered in 17 different fabrics. A range of Fabrics types were used, from suppliers such as Kvadrat, Camira, Bute and Maharam. The sofas were positioned in two separate L-shaped configurations in Neoworks breakout area. They are a quirky piece that add an interested element to this already playful office.
To this project we also delivered our NamNam Stackable Chair, which were used in the open plan work area, as a break/meeting chair. See Images here
Pizza Hut Office, Hertfordshire 2014
In 1958, Frank and Dan Carney had an idea for a great local pizza restaurant in Wichita Kansas, USA. In 1973, fifteen years after those humble beginnings, their first restaurant in the UK opened in Islington, London. By 1986 they reached 100 hundred restaurants in the UK and in 1988 their first UK delivery store was opened in Kingsbury, London.Today they have over 700 Huts and delivery stores. In fact they are now part of the biggest pizza company on the planet.

News UK Headquarters, London Bridge 2014
News Corp UK is a British-based American-owned newspaper publisher, and a owned subsidiary of the American mass media conglomerate News Corp. They publish papers as The Times, The Sunday Times and The Sun. News Corp has a 30-year lease on The News Building, which is located next to The Shard near London Bridge. The 17-story, state of the art building will house some 3,400 employees of News Corp, representing Dow Jones, HarperCollins Publishers and News UK. Icons of Denmark designed, delivered and installed an impressive GRID amphitheater as a central break out and meeting space. For the project, that was designed by Pringle Brandon Perkins + Will, Icons of Denmark also delivered loose furniture such as Basset Sofas, Knock on Wood tables, Bykato tables and S-Stools. Pernod Ricard, Chiswick Park 2014
Created in 1975 in France, Pernod Ricard has rapidly expanded over the past decade, through both organic growth and acquisitions. The Group is now the world co-leader of the Wine & Spirits industry. Their ambition is clear: they want to become number 1 in the industry. Ace Hotel, Shoreditch 2014
Ace Hotel London Shoreditch hangs its hat in London’s most creative, engaged district. A hub for galleries, theater and design, Shoreditch is home to the Brick Lane Market, landmark creatives and renegade artists from around the world. For the Ace Hotel, 7th floor meeting rooms, Icons of Denmark supplied 30 Forum foldable meeting tables from Danish manufacturer Andersen Furniture. The chosen finishes of black lacquered oak frames and black linoleum surfaces are complimenting the overall look and feel of the project, with industrial elements, reclaimed timbers and vintage furniture pieces. Idea Store – Whatney Market, London 2013
The £4.5 million Idea Store was jointly funded by the Big Lottery Fund and Tower Hamlets Council and includes an integrated One Stop Shop, where residents can access council services. The library shelving is configured with Montana’s storage system, with features such as magazine shelves, LED Lights and lockers. In areas which have several functions, the shelving units are made mobile, with magnetic connecting details. For the children’s library Montana delivered Book display units that were specifically designed for the project in order to secure the consistency of the design as well as the Montana color story. Bally, London 2013
Icons of Denmark completes project for fashion label Bally in London. The challenge was to create multipurpose storage elements for our clients design department. The storage solutions selected are used for fashion product samples such as shoes, designer bags as well as raw materials. In corporation with Universal Design Studio, the storage units were configured as part of a large room divider storage wall and part as mid-level mobile storage with a large variation of trays, drawers and adjustable shelves. The Montana system was chosen because of its ability to meet the many criteria and at the same time deliver a clean design with soft feel.
Immediate Media- Hammersmith, London, 2012
Immediate Media was formed in late 2011 by the union of BBC Magazines, Origin Publishing and Magicalia. Together with Aros Architects we developed this office project for 580 staff in 50,000 sq ft, with a complete storage concept utilizing the Montana CO16 Office and filing system, for library areas, workplace filing and freestanding storage banks. In partnership with our Danish brands, we furthermore supplied the majority of the loose furniture for conference rooms, break out areas and cafes.
Goethe – Institute, South Kensington, London 2012
The Goethe-Institut London promotes an international cooperation by organising a broad variety of events to present German culture. The Library of the Goethe-Institut London serves as a resource for those interested in contemporary Germany, and for those interested in teaching and studying German as a foreign language. More than 20,000 books, videos, audio-cassettes and computer software are available. Montana and the Architects involved designed a bookstore-like library with podiums, towers for display and shelving with drawers for CD’s, DVD’s and other audio files.
Pandora 2011 – London Head office
Danish Jewellery company Pandora, choose again to use Montana’s workstations and storage solutions when they moved from Clerkenwell to Londons west end in summer 2011. The interior is flexible and ready to adapt the rapidly crowing company. All storage units are castor based and free standing workstations have electrical height adjustment to create freedom of movement. The solution allows easy reconfiguration of the space and people. HAY furniture were used in canteen, break out and reception areas.

B Sky B, 2011
Design practise Pringle Brandon developed this exciting project for B Sky B’s new building in west London. Montana’s system was used as mobile room dividers and credenzas for conference rooms. Montana’s MP Café and Mini MP tables where used throughout the scheme in breakout areas, specified with durable compact laminate tops. Montana’s bench concept Monterey was used as touch down units with high stools
Crown Plaza, 2011
Together with Softroom Architects we developed a number of café and conference tables for Crown Plaza Hotels in Amsterdam, Marlow and Dubai. The scheme was variation of Montana’s MP cafe tables with power/data solutions integrated. Furthermore we supplied a number of electrical height adjustable conference tables from Montana’s HS series. A variation of linoleum tops and some with customized writeable whiteboard laminate surfaces.
